Tri-Council Hosts Reception at the 2023 Congress of the International Council of Nursing (ICN)

Tri-Council leaders welcomed representatives from U.S.-based nursing organizations at a special reception held as part of ICN’s 29th Congress in Montreal, Canada. Joining the festivities were the Chief Nurse of the World Health Organization Dr. Amelia Latu Afuhaamango Tuipulotu, several ICN Board members, and other global nurse leaders. Remarks focused on the purpose and priorities of the Tri-Council; collaborative efforts related to DEI, workforce concerns, and COVID response; and shared government advocacy strategy. As a special highlight of the proceedings, ICN President Pamela Cipriano was recognized at the event along with retiring CEOs David Benton from NCSBN and Loressa Cole from ANA.
